About Me:

Greetings! I am a self-taught reggae producer, multi-instrumentalist, and mix engineer. I am a musician first and foremost; dedicated to elevating reggae music globally by maintaining it’s authentic groove and culture while adding modern influences and collaborating with artists around the world. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences, I strive to combine in-the-pocket reggae riddims with thought-provoking lyrics that speak to the mind, heart and soul.

I was born and raised in the sunny Sacramento Valley of California. While the Caribbean music scene here is very small, I was innately drawn to reggae music from hearing Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved" at age 4, and have only gained passion for its roots and culture since.

At age 14, I finally started to make this passion audible after enrolling in Vista del Lago High School's 'Contemporary Music Ensemble', where I developed an obsession for playing guitar, bass (electric & upright), piano, and drums, and gave numerous performances around the Sacramento area. Shortly thereafter, I formed a band named Eazy Dub with my best friends as a bassist and producer, and came to share the stage with the likes of  many US-based artists: Tribal Seeds, Stick Figure, and Pepper to name a select few.

While creating music took a back seat to other facets of life in my 20’s (one of my biggest regrets), I became more drawn to studying and listening to real, conscious reggae – its musical roots as it evolved from ska and rocksteady, and even more so its cultural roots in repatriation and the liberation of African people.

I strive to empower, not appropriate, reggae’s existing voice for social justice, cultural pride and overstanding through my music
